"De Aequilibritatis Mundi" -- Of the Cosmic Balance In 1998, several of us decided to resume an old hobby of ours. The trick was to write some decent fan fiction with no specific parameters. Each writer could bring in any storyline they wanted and basically do whatever they wanted. The only trick was that the next writer in the round-robin sequence would have to pick up where the first left off...or at least mention it in some small way. This did not always happen. But the experience was a tremendously fun one. What you will find enshrined within these pages is an archive of those messages. The story is possibly the most involved fan fiction on the net (at least that I've found). The protagonists include characters from Star Wars, Star Trek, BattleTech, Robotech, The X-files, Indiana Jones, Dr. Who, Tolkien's Middle-earth, and many other universes combined with some original characters too. With a hero cast like that one...who could be the bad guys? Why not H.P. Lovecraft's Great Old Ones from the Cthulhu Mythos!
