This part of the site is dedicated to the study of "The Story".

"The Hero's Journey" is a section studying the Monomyth structure described by Joseph Campbell and how it can be applied to all kinds of stories.  This is great for all writers, 'wanna-be's', and folks that just like analyzing stories.

"The name for the "Storybase" comes from the old BBS days back in the 80's when people posted on 'Message Bases' instead of NewsGroups or forums.  So here is a tribute to the original Story Base, which sparked lots of fan fiction and hours and hours of good times and fun.
