NECRONOMICON

 

Based largely on the book that appeared in the film "H.P.Lovecraft's Necronomicon".  This Necronomicon is one of my prize pieces.  First off it is huge!  In the picture below you see a normal sized chess set and remote controls for scale.  The book also weighs nearly 30 pounds!   The cover is resin painted to look like leather and oxidized copper.  The text is taken from the Latin Necronomicon created by John Fair Holton (a copy is available through Cthulhu Live sources).  The text was further altered by myself and put into German Blackletter font and woodcuts from various appropriate sources were also added.
