LARGE DOUBLE-BLADED SABER

 

Also known as a "Jedi Lance", this is a very rare weapon indeed.  At the time of "Sith: Apocalypse" it is almost exclusively used as a training tool due to its large unwieldy size.  Each bladed is formed by focusing energy through six crystals and it contains an impressive powerpack.  The greater intensity of its blades means that it is capable of sometimes overwhelming ordinary lightsabers through sheer power.  However, the amount of energy it consumes requires a robust powerpack and frequent maintenance.  Should the alignment of the crystals be disturbed or the power flow interrupted, this weapon is quite capable of malfunctioning badly and turning on its user.

Screen used prop for "Sith: Apocalypse".  Hilt is modeled after Darth Maul's Phantom Menace saber but is substantially larger.  Created on a CNC lathe using aircraft grade aluminum.  Piece separates in the middle, although this feature was not used in the film..
