Well friends, I had hoped to have more work
done on the film by this time...but that isn't the case.
The fact is it took me a lot longer than I
thought it would to learn how to do some of the 3D computer generated graphics
that I needed for the movie.
(on the plus side I now know how to do space
scenes for that Trek Fan Film...Dave...all I need to do is figure out how to do
explosions and lasers/photon torpedoes/phasers and we're good to go.
"Federation battlecruiser aproaching...range 5000 kilokams'.)
After several test renders (and a lot of
frustration) the opening scroll for "Sith:Apocalypse" is ready. Now I
can get to editing the film proper...there is only one more thing I have to do.
I am going to make one more set of final tweaks to the teaser trailer.
Here is what I intend to fix from the revised trailer that's up now....
1. clean up Rochelle's
lightsaber at the very beginning when she's fighting the remote (blade looks
"muddy")
2. Thicken Marcus's blades
on the bridge before he begins to move. (blades look a little too thin)
3. Thicken up Brian's blade
during the "Strike him down...." line....(blade wobbles and jumps
around currently)
4. Keep the dialogue going
for Brian's reaction shot during my "If you continue to turn away...."
speech.
5. Add a clip of Dave using
the Saber Shield.
I am shooting a wedding video next weekend (in
a vain attempt to try to pay for some of this equipment) so I need to have the
trailer stuff done by then. I am planning to have it done and the raw footage
off my harddrive, so I can load the wedding footage and edit it.

Anyway....just wanted you guys to know that I
am still working on the movie and not just playing Counterstrike....("Hold
this position!")
Here are some shots of the
opening sequence. That's the News from the Front.
