Victor
climbed aboard his 45 ton mech. A
Phoenix Hawk, code name, Red Five. He
powered up the engines, readied the gyros, and switched on the comm-link.
One of the AeroSpace Fighter jocks was transmitting his last message.
"It's a major Planetary Assault!!! DropShips are everywhere!! We're
knocking them out of the sky like flies and they're still coming down.
MechWarriors, Good Luck!" The message terminated.
Victor
keyed in his Lance's combat channel into the comm-link, his commander's voice
broke in through the static. "Alright,
listen up boys, we're heading out to the main fr

lock all LRM packs in attack position. All
Mechs report in." Victor
glanced out the cockpit at the lance's other Mechs as they reported to their
leader. The commander in his Shadow
Hawk, a Locust, an Archer, and him in his Phoenix Hawk..."Red Five standing

He continued on ahead scouting out the terrain.
The pilot of the Archer, hung back a little, ready to fire her Long Range
Missile pods at a seconds notice. Commander
Wallart of the Shadow Hawk engaged his Jump Jets and sailed into the night sky
to have a look over the upcoming battlefield.
Suddenly his voice cracked over the comline.
"Vic get up here now!! We’re
in trouble!!" Instantly Victor fired up his Jump Jets, he was to the
Commander in seconds. He looked and
was panic-stricken. "You see
what I see?" It was the commander again.
"Yes sir...Break off!" He
radioed back to base, “Houston, we have a problem....”
It
was witching hour, and the Kurita DoomsDay class DropShips had landed.
Mecca began unloading from massive bay doors.
Advanced Battlemechs of all types emerged, ranging from Scouts to the
monstrous close range Assault class. Resistance
was slight, as the onslaught began....
